Project Spotlight – Major Renovation of 1929 Spanish Revival Home
The remodel of this 3,560 square foot Spanish Revival focused on updating the property into a more contemporary style that highlights the features of the original architecture. Major interior renovations to the home encompassed several rooms including the den, sunroom, powder room, kitchen, several bedrooms and baths. The backyard redesign included two new trellises and patio area, a pool house which includes a full bathroom and dry sauna with full bar and frost rail, along with a state-of-the-art 6-screen video wall.
Sun Room – Before and After.
This bedroom was remodeled into an elegant sunroom which now features a fireplace, beautiful mahogany doors and windows that open up to the redesigned backyard and pool. A recessed television is concealed with a discrete roll-up painting above the fireplace.
Living Room – Before and After.
Whether relaxing alone by the beautiful fireplace or entertaining a large group, this living room provides plenty of comfortable yet elegant space.
Kitchen – Before and After.
The kitchen’s new custom cabinets are in a soft cream with delicate antique detail, topped with light Quartzite Emerald countertops, and a beautiful wall-mounted stainless-steel vent hood over the stove. Open kitchen shelving along the west wall provides an attractive display of curious and accessories.
Bathroom – Before and After.
The remodeled upstairs bathroom showcases handsome details in the tilework, accessories, and light fixtures. The existing floorplan remained the same, but the new design of the bathroom makes it seem like a new room entirely. The detailed tilework adds a modern sophistication to this Spanish Revival home. The decorative tile at the base of the wainscott is an intricate line drawing by Mission Tile West’s Revival Classics collection, adding a timeless and unique design to the space.
Back Yard- Before and After.
The backyard has been redesigned to include two trellises, new patio area and pool house with a bathroom and private sauna. The pool house also features gas lanterns and iron details on its exterior, typical of the Spanish Revival architecture found in the main house. The newly remodeled pool house is now equipped with a full bar and frost rail, 6 screen video wall and bathroom with a private sauna, perfect for entertaining.
