For this design build construction approach, we began with the backyard landscape which was redesigned to include a spacious cabana with well-equipped outdoor cooking facilities. The new outdoor kitchen includes a built-in grill and BBQ with double side burners.
Our clients’ goal was to remodel and expand their 1929 French Normandy style home to better accommodate their growing family. Along with our partners, Page & Turnbull Architects and WFord Interiors, the home was expanded from the existing three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two half-baths to five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two half-baths arrangement, adding approximately 1,934 square feet.

The updates to the first floor include a new open-plan kitchen with a large central island. The newly remodeled kitchen features hand scraped Herringbone patterned flooring to brighten the room.
In addition, the new Pure White Caesarstone countertop blends seamlessly with the new Calacatta Gold tile backsplash. Calacatta Gold has a creamy white background with taupe and gold veins, subtly harmonizing with various gold accents in the kitchen, such as the Gilded Iron pendant lights and Satin Gold prep sink faucet. This 1929 French Normandy Renovation also included an addition of a new bedroom and den with its own bath. This redesigned floor plan allows for a more streamlined layout of the entire home.
The second floor was reconceptualized to accommodate a new master bedroom suite, shared bath and new laundry facilities. A striking chandelier in the master bedroom is made of natural coco beads, complementing the natural tones found in the oak flooring and steep ceiling beams.
